National Toxics Inventory (NTI)
   Overview
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's National Toxics Inventory (NTI) is a complete national inventory of stationary and mobile sources of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). HAPs are defined as pollutants that are known or suspected to cause serious health problems.

Section 102 of the Clean Air Act (CAA) currently identifies a list of 188 pollutants as HAPs. The list of HAPs includes relatively common pollutants such as formaldehyde, chlorine, methanol, and asbestos, as well as numerous less common substances. Individual emission estimates are available for large stationary sources, while aggregate emission estimates at the county level are available for small stationary and mobile sources.

Available data series include pollutants emitted per state, county, or source.
